Pastels & a Cute Short Haircut

I have been craving a cute short haircut.

Background: I’ve been growing my hair out for some time now. I really wanted to be able to do a messy bun. That’s it, that was my reason. I never have time to go get a trim so I always just let it go a bit.

I need a short cute haircut.

After I was able to do the bun thing, I wasn’t as excited about it anymore, even though it was cute – see Exhibit A above. (So cute, right?!?) I realized that I always pulled it back anyway, which is not flattering for my face & was causing a lot of breakage. Lastly it was in pretty poor shape from skipping trims & having old color at the ends.

So I made an appointment. It was my first time with that hairdresser & she did an amazing job! I’ve had this cut before but she didn’t know that. I love it so much & feel happier & cuter with my hair this way. I’m bad at making appointments for hair (for anything, let’s be honest) but I will have to make it a priority from now on. I can’t even explain how much fresher I feel after my mini makeover!

I just got a cute short haircut!

Here is the cut after I washed & slept on it. That’s literally how I do my hair. 😂 Somehow this haircut is a special blend of magic & sass that comes out looking damn good naturally. I am a very lucky girl.
