I went a little nuts in Walmart today and treated myself to a bunch of cool stuff. A couple magazines, Sex and the City 1 & 2, Sally Hansens nails in glitter pink with skulls, a new scarf hairband, a pair of new short shorts & a couple tees for derby. And these were a treat for

My husband’s best friend brought his family down to visit us finally! Joe took the week off to spend with them & had a lot of fun. They went to the beach, to the zoo, down to the Naples pier & saw dolphins. They also hiked a nature trail by our house & had to sidle past
Still, a cool speakeasy style restaurant in Virginia View from our hotel room in D.C. Behind the yellow sculpture is Poets & Busboys, a restaurant we ate at while we were there. Trolley tour of the landmarks of Washington, D.C. More to come…

I have been out of it for a while & here is the quick sum up of what I’ve been up to: I spent a week off my foot with the cast. Got that taken off on a Tuesday. I had the opportunity to skate a Wednesday & Thursday & passed up on it (stupid!).
Ooooh, look at me. I’m soooooo sporty today! I went to a new podiatrist today – a sports podiatrist! – for my tendinitis in my foot. It’s irritatingly painful & just won’t go away & stay away. So I’m trying a new tack – cortisone shot, in the foot. Funnnnn! Plus, got a soft cast
Husband cooked me dinner since I’m off my foot for a week. It’s psuedo healthy. The bacon takes away the health halo. Scallops, spinach, white beans & bacon. The scallops were done PERFECTLY.
Scored a couple cute pieces at Target for a song. The skirt & the sweater were less then $6 each. Also wearing a purple leopard print scarf, Target necklace from one of the designer collaborations and Rockport shoes. Check out this crazy giant ring pendant. I love this piece!
