A Few New Things
- 9/30/2007
I was at TJMaxx last week and picked up several great peices. One is this royal blue safari style button down from the Gap. I tried it on when it was $10 or $15 and almost got it then. I'm glad I waited - it came down to $5 & I snagged it! It's so cute. I love how the tie defines the waist at it's thinnest point. Also, I picked up this crazy neoprene top by Prada. I can't share the price on it though. It will be up for bid on ebay soon & I don't want anyone to know how inexpensive it really was - he, he. The original Prada tag is still on it, but - how sad - no original price, so I can't even say what percentage I got on it. Anyway, this is a really cute high fashion peice. It has a pocket on the inside as well as the zipper pockets on the front. The back is incredible too. There are 2 straps across the back - very sexy. I'd love to see this on a jet-ski or something like that. It actually is kinda practical for that. Anyway, I'll keep you posted for when it goes up.

2 New Ebay Items!
- 9/27/2007
I was really lazy and only put up 2 things this week.
I promise, I am taking a ton of photos this weekend of things I'm purging from my closet. (That includes a Prada top made of neoprene!) and will have them up soon.
This week I am featuring the wonderful chick lit novel Fishbowl by Sarah Mlynowski as well as this great Fendi-wannabe bag from Express (bidding starts at $0.70 - don't miss out!). It's very colorful and fun and has gone with me to dinner many times. I was tempted to keep it as I was making the listing. I actually did keep a couple things this week I was putting up - a Perlina leather backpack and a DKNY floral skirt. Maybe I will have the strength to do it another week. Pray for me!

The Lost Shopping Expedition
- 9/23/2007
OK, these are from a couple weeks back - before I broke my Olympus camera. (It's going to cost me $150 to fix it, so send your donations to my paypal account at amy@amycarriere.com.... LOL. No for real. No, just kidding. Really!) Anyway, I re-took the photos with my crappy camera and here they are. I obviously was on a bright kick. Or the good deals all happened to be bright, or something. I have been trying to add more color into my wardrobe since I mostly wear dark greys, blacks and browns for a while now. So this really worked out! :) So, the bright yellow top was an OK deal. The brand is Capacity Unlimited - never heard of it. The price on the original tag is $69, so it wasn't super cheap to begin with. I paid $12. The fit is really flattering so I feel it is worth it. It had a longer tunic shape which I like. And with the bold buttons, you really don't need too much jewelry. Very nice. Then, I've been wanting a shiny satiny top for a while now. I saw photos of Ashlee Simpson in one and then another & have been wanting to mimic the look. This one popped off the rack at me! Check out that color - so bright and cheery, but grown up too. I don't have the original price on this one - the brand is Ninety. I think they're pretty cheap usually, but I snagged this one for $2 so I feel that I got a deal. Even if it was originally $28 like the TJMaxx tag says, then I got a damn good deal. Yay! Oh, bonus I love the bracelet length sleeves. Lastly, and bestly, is the steal I got on this DKNY top. It's lovely and in one of my best colors!!!! Watch out for it on MyStyleDiary tomorrow - I plan to wear it. OK - hear is the lowdown. Original price is $195.00. I got it for $10. It did have barely noticeable stains. I sent it with my friend K, since she's a drycleaner & she got it stain-free!! And she didn't charge me - so, rock on K!!!!! Shout out to her - she's the cutest pregnant girl I know right now. And I happen to know a lot of pregnant girls at the present time. So, keep an eye on MyStyleDiary for outfits worked around these great new pieces!

Cosmopolitan Style - 8 Fall 2007 Must Haves
- 9/16/2007
According to the latest issue of Cosmopolitan Style there are 8 must haves for the season. Below are what I found online while sticking to that list, so you can get them all here. Most are budget friendly as well!
1. Prep-School Blazer
2. Something Strapless

4. Cocoon Coat
Okay, this one is pretty extreme and a major splurge. But doesn't it look so comfy? Find it at Team Sugar - priced at $875.00 right now.
5. Color Blocking
Neiman Marcus - Was $140, Now $42
6. High Waisted Trousers
These aren't as high waisted as they've been showing for fall, but they do fit in with the meanswear theme. They're a nice basic.
7. Textured Knit
This piece will be great with textured leggings or tights. It would look great with knee high boots too! It's very versatile as it can be worn as top or dress! Victoria's Secret - $68
8. A Skinny Dress
Victoria's Secret - $42!
Well thanks for reading & I hope you have a great fall - fashion & otherwise!

New ebay sales!
- 9/13/2007

Well, I sloughed off last week & had no sales running. I missed it so much!
So, this week I've added some items.
Books - Assortment of Various Gift Boxes Pouches Packing - This bunch of packaging has bracelet, necklace, ring, other size boxes - some name brands like Lundstrum & Littman. Others are totally generic with cotton inside. Perfect for those selling their handmade jewelry!

Look out ya'll
- 9/12/2007

I'm getting the hang of MyStyleDiary. I swear it's so easy to update!
Anyway, I'm on a roll and have posted 3 days in a row. Seeing my outfits I realize how lackluster they can be so I will try to spice it up a bit tomorro. One of my "cool finds" is to the left. It's Hype (one of my very favorite brands!). When I saw this at TJMaxx I didn't even wait for it to go on sale - I paid full TJMaxx price. Very rare for me. Keep an eye on me here - MyStyleDiary!

My Style Diary
- 9/10/2007
So, I set up a page on MyStyleDiary.net. A very exciting thing for me since I am in love with the girl who created the site, well her fashion sense anyway. So here is my first outfit I've uploaded. Not the best but I promise they will get better!
Here's the write up about her from their About page - "StyleDiary.net was created in August 2004 by fashion and technology industry veteran Patricia Handschiegel, who saw a niche for showing style from around the globe. A former stylist for a Today show correspondent, freelance fashion journalist, ghost writer and publicist, Handschiegel leveraged a love for shoes and a background in internet technology/business to build what has become one of the most unique and popular fashion/style sites online." - read the rest here.- It's a great site where you can upload recent outfits you have photographed yourself in plus photos of "cool finds". I think it will be a great compliment to this site.
I apologize for the quality of the photos I've uploaded though. I dropped my beloved Olympus camera & am making due with an old Sony Cybershot till I can get it repaired. So, anyway, I'll be updating when I add new things there, but for now you can view my first couple outfits and some cool finds here - MissAmyBlogs' StyleDiary. So give me some support & check me out! :)

Goodwill Plunder!
- 9/09/2007
I stopped by Goodwill yesterday to drop some things off & ended up shopping. Um, of course!
I found some really nice things. For less than $40 dollars I got a pair of Rockport flip-flops, a pair of Michael Kors wedgies (just like new!), a pair of black pointy toe kitten heels from BCBG, a white button down cotton top (tags still on), an off-white short sleeved sweater from Banana Republic, a bubble sleeved purple top from Mizrahi for Target (tags still on), a loose t for excercising in and a whole bunch of chick lit paperbacks.

Before that I stopped at Sports Authority to treat myself to a new pair of sneaks for wearing to the gym. They are pictured with the other shoes. They were originally $85 but I got them on "clearance" for $50. That's a lot for me to spend, but it's important to have really good shoes to work out in. I also found a cute pair of yoga shorts on the clearance rack that will be great for yoga class. They're black with an adorable lace pattern on the folded over waist band.
