We launched this one a while back for Diamond Custom Homes, a local custom home builder. The project included a custom Facebook landing page as well as a coordinating newsletter template.
Design brief: Local custom home builder wants a website for marketing purposes. Must be high-end, clean & fit with the company’s existing marketing materials.
I went with a white background to keep it clean & in keeping with their business card which had the logo against white. I took the green & blue & muted them a bit so they would read high-end as opposed to trendy. The paler colors read well with their large scale photos of well designed interiors.
We recently launched this site for Slowpokes BBQ. It has been built for a while now & the client requested that we launch it as is, even though he hadn’t gotten a lot of the content to us.
Design brief: BBQ restaurant needs an online presence. Client gave me free reign with the look. I chose to use a fun, western look with fire & smoke elements so it was more eye-catching & less serious than our average business site. I love that restaurants offer more leeway for creativity.
We just launched Charles Hayes, PA, a bankruptcy attorney here in Naples.
Design brief: Serious, professional, client likes blue & green.
I just couldn’t work the blue & green together on this one so I chose to work with the blue only. I used shades of blue & navy plus white & pale grey to keep it from getting too dark. I used imagery to denote what the site was about & added the callouts on the left to give some interest & break up the white space a bit. The client ended up with an online presence that represents what he does with style.
This is a site for the debut line of leather handbags by Lin Danto. We’ve been working with Ms. Danto on this for a while & I am so happy to see it finally live on the web.
The home page is done completely in Flash. The backpages feature a Flash slide-in menu. There is also an admin that allows the client to update the seasons & bags as they happen.
Design brief: Client showed us elements from several sites that she liked. We kept the overall look minimal with a dark background to show off the amazing photos of the bags. The movement was described to us by the client & we worked all her ideas into one low-key, simple, lovely site. She is pleased, as are we.
New home page: LarryRoorda.com
Design brief: Create a splash page with buttons/links to 4 different sites, include social media buttons, more modern web 2.0 style. Based on hand-drawn sketch from the boss & her feedback plus client’s.
We created 3 different sites for this Naples, Florida realtor several years ago. During a recent meeting he decided he wanted them all to be easily accessed from a single page. This splash page pulls all his sites together giving visitors easier access to all his sites plus his blog. We added the social network links as part of the new marketing strategy we are developing for him.
Launched recently: Slick Ink ALL MEDIA.
Design brief: Create a WordPress site based on the company’s existing marketing materials.
Notes: I got lucky with this one. The clients were adventurous & brought some already amazing marketing materials to the table. It was a pleasure designing this site & working with the client.

This is a design I did for a local realtor. It has an admin so he can add properties as he gets them. The design was based on the drawing my boss gave me as a mockup and the colors were inspired by the site name. There was no logo or photos or color preference to go on.
The client really likes it & quite a few people have already commented favorably on the design so I’m pretty happy about that.
